Safety verification test

All climber needs to have their safety competency verified before belaying or leading on the Top Rope / Lead walls at Tampines Hub.

You do not need to be verified when climbing on the Auto Belay lanes or climbing on the Top Rope lanes with a belayer who has passed the BFF Climb verification test.


Types of Verification tests:

  1. Top Rope Belaying
  2. Lead Climbing and Belaying
  3. Kids Leading (no belaying)
Top Rope Belaying

To test the safety knowledge on knots, equipments and belaying protocols relevant to a Top Rope climb. Upon passing this test, the participant will be allowed to perform Top Rope belaying at BFF Climb. Min. age: 13 years old. Each verification slot is for a pair of climbers. Please bring your own partner. Both climbers will be verified.

Lead Climbing and Belaying

To test the safety knowledge on knots, equipments, awareness, and belaying protocols relevant to a Lead climb. Upon passing this test, the participant will be allowed to Lead climb and Lead belay at BFF Climb. Min. age: 13 years old. Each verification slot is for a pair of climbers. Please bring your own partner. Both climbers will be verified.

Kids Leading (no belaying)

For climbers 16 years old and younger. To test the climber's ability to Lead climb safely. Upon passing this test, the participant will be allowed to Lead climb at BFF Climb. This verification test is for Lead climbing only and not for Lead belaying. Any one who passed this test will only be allowed to Lead climb and NOT belay. Please bring an adult partner who is able to lead belay proficiently. 

Fees: $10.90 (for 2 pax)

Important Note:

Each person may only participate in the verification test up to twice every rolling-month (31 days). If you fail a verification test, it is important that you practice sufficiently before next verification test. 

Customers may walk in for the verification test, but please call in advance to inform our staff.
